Jirrawich Aboriginal Mentoring Program offers young Aboriginal people the opportunity to engage in 1:1 cultural support, workshops and cultural groups to support them in their lives.
Jirrawich Workshops are single events providing various Cultural activities and experiences for a range of groups and individual needs.
These workshops can include; weaving, artefacts, art, dance and more.
Jirrawich can offer support to both Government and Non-Government Organisations with Welcome to Country, Cultural Awareness Training and support, Cultural Supervision for groups and individuals in the workplace.
Referrals for Workshops can be completed by individual families, schools and services.

Jirrawich Mentoring is offered to individuals and/or groups, it supports young people who need support connecting to Culture and strengthening their Identity as young Aboriginal people.
We support them in understanding their own strengths and goals, providing experiences and activities to enhance their social, emotional, physical and mental wellbeing. This is achieved through workshops, activities, case-management and goal setting, as well as access to Jirrawich camps and connecting to community and experiences.
Referrals for Mentoring can be completed by individual families, schools and services.

Jirrawich Cultural camps are offered throughout the year at various times through school holidays and weekends. There is also an opportunity to work within the school term at the request of individual schools in connection to their school outcome and the needs of their students.
Through these camps young people will have an opportunity to connect to country while participating in cultural activities.
Jirrawich have access to a number of locations in the Illawarra and also the surrounding areas of Cultural significance to enrich the experiences of the young people and the activities they will participate in.

I am a proud Dharawal/Yuin man, I have grown up in the Illawarra Region on the South Coast.
My family and cultural connections begin from the La Perouse area and stretch down to the far South Coast of NSW.
I have worked over the past 20 years supporting young people and their families.

I have always had a strong passion for supporting young people and with the belief that we can change lives within the new Generation through positive role modelling and appropriate support services.
My passion will see me to continue to support our young ones as they are the future of our culture and helping it stay alive and strong for future generations to come.
